Housewarming Invitations

I don’t always move to Konstanz, but when I do, it’s almost impossible to find an affordable, decent place to stay. So when it finally worked out, I threw a party with my class mates to celebrate the housewarming. For the invitations (and the party) I decided to stay within the boundaries of the nineties, so I picked stills from music videos by my favorite directors from that period. To bring back further memories, the stills were put on a TV and then photographed, revealing the cathode ray tube artifacts. 20 invitations were printed and each one was hand-lettered. Once I put them on the table for each guest to pick their preferred image, the invitations were gone in a heartbeat.

It was immensely satisfying to rifle through all the music I grew up with. This was back in the day, when MTV used to play music videos. Ask your parents.
